I hope I am not someone that toots my own horn excessively. However, I believe that its okay to think you've done something awesome. I've gathered a few such specimens this summer.
Exhibit A: Best most amazing burger

Surprisingly enough this is fairly low carb (everything except for the bun) and its pretty freaking amazing! Here is what you do:
1 med Onion, sliced very thin
1 tsp Butter
1 tsp Lowreys salt or something like it
4 Hamburgers
BBQ Sauce
Cheddar Cheese
4 slices of American Cheese (yes, the gross square kind)
2-4 Hamburger Buns
Napkin
Add the butter in a pre-heating saute pan. When it's melted add onions and Lowreys. Stir until onions are soft and golden brown. Set aside. Cook burgers on medium low heat for about 5-7 min on each side. When they are done squeeze a plop of BBQ sauce on the burgers, add 1/4 of the onions on top, then the cheddar cheese and American Cheese. Cover burgers to let the cheese melt.
Personally- I put two patties (yes, its embarrassing but it's time I came 'out') with one bun, but you don't have to. Occasionally I only put mayo on but sometimes I don't put anything else on. So play with it! Experiment! Its SUPER yummy!! I hope you try it and like it!
Exhibit B: Our Garden
I can't even begin to take any credit for this success. Daniel has been tending it all summer and we are so excited about the out come! It's still coming in so we haven't had too many fresh delicacies yet, but soon!
Here are our strawberries at the beginning of the summer-

And after! There are 4 strawberries getting ripe

Tomatoes before-

And after- There are 25 tomatoes coming in!!! And they are SO tasty!!!

Here are some of them

Here are our onions and carrots before-

And the carrots after- there are TONS!

Our onions before-

We had several, several deaths in our garden family. Daniel thought it would be a good idea to up root the onions and replant them. So they all died. This is the loan survivor :-( Daniel recently pulled it up and a tiny onion was on the end. It was the prefect Alex size and he loved it :-) It was also quite tasty in our omelets the next morning. Poor poor onions

Exhibit C: My very first successful card
A friend of mine had a baby shower the other day so I decided to dust off the 'ol scrapbooking supplies and made an attempt at a card!
Here is the end result! I was really surprised that I liked it. I think it's super cute! I made one a few months ago and I really thought it was ugly (sorry Jennie) so I was nervous about this one. But I didn't think it totally sucked!

Back
Alright, there are all of our 'toot toots'! We are currently in the middle of Daniels first rotation in trauma surgery. Its super long hours but Alex and I manage to keep ourselves entertained. We go visit grandma and grandpa, go to the library, go swimming, read books, watch The Backyardagins and so on. This past month Alex has gotten 4 teeth on top. So that makes a total of 6. Two on bottom and four on top! Go Al!!! He has also managed to unscrew Benadryl bottles and taking a large swig of the contents.... Poison control was called and after a rousing morning of trying to keep our eyes on the child that was bouncing off the walls. Other than that there have been no side effects. Thats our life so far!
