Finally My Schooling Pays Off...

One of the problems I have been having with my job is that I didn't go to school to answer phones. I went to school to be a preschool teacher. I love kids and it's so much fun.

That's one preface.

Secondly, Daniel has a wide variety of vitamins he tries to take every day. But something that totally drives me nuts is that he leaves the bottles out (and sometimes opened) all over the counter. Mostly I just put them away, but I kind of got sick of it. So one day while putting them away I sung:
This is the way we put away our pills
Put away our pills,
Put away our pills.
This is the way we put away our pills
Every single morning.
(Sung to the tune of Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush)
That's all. Just sung that song and smiled at him.
This morning I was getting ready for work and I heard some thing. So I snuck into the room next to our kitchen (where Daniel was) and I heard him singing, "This is the way we put away pills"... and so on. He then continued to sing the song in every key, like you would do in choir.
He didn't know I was listening and I thought it was adorable. And sure enough, the pills were put away! He later told me that it was, indeed easier to put the pills away while singing. Haha!
It's just so good to know that 4 years of school has finally paid off! And my student? My dear sweet husband :-)

You know your pregnant when....

You cry on the Bachelor because Ali has to choose between her job and Jake. And then you cry some more when she chooses to leave. Bring on the tears

A Brothers Request...

I have to admit that sometimes I forget I am pregnant. I just think and feel like I am getting fat. Then when I get kicked or I can't squeeze through that tight spot anymore I look down and am brought back to reality quickly.

So when I got this text from my bother yesterday: "Hey send me a picture of how fat you are!", It took me a second for me to get my feelings unhurt and remember that he hasn't seen me in a while and I am indeed getting 'rather large' (name that movie).

I haven't allowed many pictures to be taken of me because in all honesty I just want to cry, but I have been reassured by friends that it is all for a good cause and it will all change as soon as he is born. WHEW!

Although today Daniel did make the comment - 'hey remember when your hot shoes used to fit?'. He was trying to be funny. But really? Why didn't he just say 'hey, remember when you were skinny!' We had a nice giggle in church.

With that said- I am now 6 months along! And it is going by fast! I am LOVING the 2nd trimester. All nasuea is gone! YAHOO! I am still pretty tired but nothing compared to the first few weeks. I did have to get new shoes though, my feetsies and ankles are swollen to the size of small hams :-( I got little porky feet. Oh well, I hear thats just the way it is.
We still haven't come up with any solid names. We'll probably keep that quiet until he comes anyway. He's still a growin though- according to the internet he's the size of a mango. He feels much larger when he is awake though. I tell ya what- he's a kicker.

In other news... I hope its ok to anounce this, but Daniel and I are in the process of buying a house! Crazy huh?! But we are so excited! It was priced to sell so we didn't think we would get it but after waiting for about 3 weeks and me changing out bid while Daniel was in Guatemala we succeeded. We are hoping to close Feb 25 and move in after that! This puts a tiny squeeze on our current apt though. We are trying to find renters to take up the lease until Aug, but that is proving difficult. If we have to simply break our lease it will be the most expensive part of the whole process. Sad! However, I think it will be worth it because I am so excited and I love the house so much. I hope it is everything we want and more. Here are pictures:
