White Coat Ceremony

As promised here are pictures of Daniel's white coat ceremony that took place July 31. It was the coolest thing. Each student got to introduce him/herself as 'student doctor...' and then a professor actually did the coating... is that a word? Anyway- it was super cool!
Here he is just before officially getting his coat
And there it is!
Daniel's brother and now FIANCE (congratulations!) came to stay with us

Adventures

I have time... I have pictures... why not post?! These are the few adventures we have been on in the last month. Daniel and I matched... he thought it was really cute. So we had to document it.
This is in front of our new house or apartment actually.

PIKES PEAK -

At the top! We made it! 14,000 feet baby! It was weird to me because the rocks at the top were redish, but from the ground it looks like a purple mountain.
Big horned sheep came to say 'hi'- Colorado State Animal.

Anna and Matt and Mom came with all of us! (Mom was in the store trying to find her sunglasses that serve as bi-focals as well, while this picture was being taken)

Cutest picture alive! Anna was cold :-) So cute

Daniels parents and brother and future sister-in-law (hint hint Matthew) came with us!!! They came in for Daniel's white coat ceremony. We LOVED having them here and miss them!

And this... is our family at our best.

Ok, ok we'll smile. We went down to my dad's hometown for the 24th of July Celebration. Everyone actually came! So mom insisted on a picture. However, minutes before this was taken Brett decided it would be HILARIOUS to dump water on me. So I look like I am sweating profusely. But what is unseen is that I got him back WAY worse than he got me, but you can't tell because he is wearing a white shirt. Lame.

He's Such a Big Boy :-)

Today was Daniel's first day of medical school! He had orientation all last week which included baseball and BBQ's. I believe this was done because it's the only time they will have to play for the next 4 years. He is taking 30 credits. Is in class from 8am until 5pm every day and has over 26 books. I'm not a gigantic school guru, but I'm thinking thats nuts. Pictures from the white coat ceremony will be coming soon. This is him walking into his first day of medical school! Hehehe, I am such a nerd.

I also thought I would post a few pictures of our house. The before and after pictures. It's kind of hard to see the paint changes, but just know we painted the walls a light beige and in every room there is an accent wall painted a darker color. So here they are!
This is before...And after.
We LOVE where we live and are so excited to be settling into our new life here for the next four years.
